FOSTERING

Cannon Beach Bunny Rescue does not currently operate our own shelter (though we hope to be able to operate a sanctuary in the future!); instead, we have a network of private foster homes. The more qualified foster homes we have available to help, the more rabbits we can rescue, rehabilitate if necessary, and adopt to loving homes.

 

After being rescued, most rabbits need a calming period to learn to trust humans again. Sometimes they require medical care until they are well enough to adopt out. Our foster care providers spend time socializing and caring for rabbits so that they can once again enjoy the companionship of humans and become more adoptable.
